Daniel Majors

Daniel Majors is a writer, blogger, graduate student, and the resident Theology21 hipster. With nothing more than the beard on his face and the Toms on his feet he has single-handedly written an article. And after he wrote that one, the writing team and editor at Theology21, going against their better judgment, said he could write another, and as God has seen it fit, he has made a permanent home at Theology21.com.

A native San Diegan, Daniel received his Bachelors in Religious Studies from SDSU, then moved to Los Angeles to pursue his graduate degree in the secular study of religion at California State University Long Beach in Early Christian Origins and Texts. He is a graduate assistant in the department of Religious Studies and spends most of his days mingled with college students and their work.  He is also the bass player for Dave Roberts, a worship leader and Christian singer-song writer, and actively involved in youth and men’s ministry. Aside from his hopes of being the world’s greatest llama wrangler, Daniel hopes to continue his pursuit in Christian writing and speaking.

Not always a Christian, Daniel came to Theology21.com with a heart for those who were lost to the church. Much of the fervor that comes from his faith is fueled by his understanding of Grace, which compels him forward to continue his search for theological truth. You may also find his work in the Arts and Music Review sections of Theology21, propelled by his love of music and his ever-constant search for new and uniquely gifted artists in the music community.

Along with the articles at Theology21, Daniel runs the site Thoughts on God: A Humble Search, where he focuses mainly on Christian reflection and understanding faith from the perspective of the believer. With a down to earth, denominationally unclaimed faith he approaches his writing as a believer who owns his faith, with his experience, his education and his issues with authority as his tools to guide his theological search.

So, whether beard growing, llama wrangling, or in line at the store buying Otter Pops, you’ll be sure to find, Daniel Majors, with pen in hand in search of God.
